Raw Sustainability: how we design, make and package every piece
Project Planet: Our Approach to Sustainable Swimwear
OUR FABRICS | OUR MAKERS | OUR PACKAGING
Project Planet is Raw Sustainability: our commitment to making every part of Raw Potential reflect the world that inspires it. From the fabrics we choose and the people who make our pieces, to the tags on your swimwear and the box it arrives in, each decision is made with longevity and the ocean in mind.
We work with recycled and organic materials wherever possible, produce in limited runs to avoid waste, and design pieces to be worn summer after summer rather than for a single season.
OUR FABRICS
RECYCLED & ORGANIC MATERIALS
“We have embraced the guiding principle of Project Planet to make sure every part of our business reflects the world that inspires us.”
India Goodman, Founder
Women's swimwear is made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon, produced from recovered nylon waste including discarded fishing nets and other pre- and post-consumer waste. It is soft, double lined and resistant to chlorine, suncream and oils, so your bikinis keep their shape and colour summer after summer.
Men's swim shorts are made from fabric derived from 100% recycled plastic bottles, finished with an anti-chafe boxer lining and zip pockets. Shop men's swim shorts.
Resortwear is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton: breathable, soft and made to be worn for years. Discover the Teria co-ord.
OUR MAKERS
WHO WE WORK WITH
Our partners have become our business family. After a long search, we chose a small, family-run factory in the hills of Portugal, where most of our swimwear is made with care and real craftsmanship. Our organic cotton resortwear is made in Kenya by skilled makers who bring their expertise to every piece.
Working with people whose values match our own is non-negotiable for us. We map our supply chain wherever possible and produce in limited runs, so each piece finds a home rather than ending up as waste.
OUR PACKAGING
PLANT YOUR TAGS
We don't use plastic swing tags. Instead, our tags and thank-you cards are made from plantable seed paper containing wildflower seeds, so once your order arrives you can plant them and grow something, rather than throwing another tag away.
Our orders are sent in recycled, recyclable or biodegradable packaging. Small choices, made carefully, add up.
Sustainability for us goes beyond the product. Through our partnership with the Marine Conservation Society, a percentage of every purchase supports their work protecting our seas.
